FULL-SERVICE MACHINE SHOP · SANFORD, NC
CNC machining, wire & sinker EDM, milling & turning, and Swiss screw machining — one shop, one standard, since 1986. Send us your print and we'll tell you exactly how we'd make it.
01 — CAPABILITIES
From one-off prototypes to production runs, we quote from your print and machine to it — no interpretation, no surprises.
Computer-controlled precision for complex geometries and repeatable production. Program once, hold the spec every time.
When cutters can't reach it and hardness won't allow it, EDM will. Intricate cavities, hardened tool steels, sharp internal corners.
The fundamentals, done right. Faces, bores, threads, and profiles cut to print on manual and CNC equipment.
Small, precise, turned parts at volume — pins, shafts, fittings, and fasteners held to tolerance from the first piece to the last.
Metal fabrication and welding under the same roof as machining — assemblies arrive finished, not as a kit of parts.
Send it over. We quote real jobs from real drawings — and we'll tell you honestly if it's not a fit.
Start Your RFQ →02 — HOW WE WORK
Drawing, sketch, sample part, or CAD file — whatever you have, we can work from it.
Price, lead time, and how we'd approach the job. If something on the print will cost you money for no reason, we'll say so.
Your part is cut, inspected, and finished in-house at our Sanford shop by people who've been doing this for decades.
Parts delivered as quoted. Most of our work comes from repeat customers — that only happens one way.
03 — ABOUT THE SHOP
Modern Machining opened its doors in Sanford, North Carolina in October 1986. Nearly forty years later, it's still owned and operated by the Clark family — and still doing what it was founded to do: precision machine work, done right, delivered on time.
We're not a broker and we're not a job board. When you call, you talk to the shop. When your part is on a machine, it's our machine, in our building, on Brady Road.
04 — REQUEST FOR QUOTE
Tell us about the job — material, quantity, and what the part needs to do. Attach details or reference your drawing number and we'll follow up for the print.
